SYDNEYSIDERS are in for a treat this Australia Day weekend with some of Australia’s hottest acts heading to Parramatta Park for the inaugural Summer Nights Live festival.
On January 25th and 26th, music fans will be able to celebrate summer with the country’s creme de la creme including The Veronicas, Kingswood, Jon Stevens, Bonnie Anderson and Jackie Brown Jr.
Melbourne rockers Kingswood and Queensland pop sisters The Veronicas will kick the festivities off on Monday 25th with Jackie Brown Jr, followed on Tuesday 26th by Aus rock royalty Jon Stevens (Noiseworks, The Dead Daisies, INXS), the all-star ARC (comprising Darren Middleton from Powderfinger, Mark Wilson from Jet, Kram from Spiderbait and Davey Lane from You Am I) with this year’s The Masked Singer winner Bonnie Anderson.
The COVID-safe event will be one of the first for some of the artists and fans alike post-lockdown.
“It has been too long, far too long,” Kingswood’s Fergus Lincare said.
“If we had to wait any longer to play big stage rock ‘n’ roll show I think our collective heads would in perfect synchrony explode.
“And what a festival, in such a beautiful part of the world, to come and save us, and bring the music back to the people. We can’t wait.”
Summer Nights Live is part of the City of Parramatta’s full Summer Nights program, which includes the Crescent Summer Series in Parramatta Park.
Tickets go on sale at 12pm local time today, Tuesday 15th December via the links below.
