WOMADELAIDE will go ahead in 2021 and festival goers can expect one of the biggest lineups to date, if last week’s final headline concert announcement is anything to go by.
The annual South Australian event will be held from March 5th to 8th next year, and is set to feature four incredible nights of music – capped at 6,000 each to adhere with strict COVID-safe restrictions – in a temporary new custom-built arena in King Rodney Park.
The event will kick off on Friday night with performances by Sarah Blasko, Archie Roach and Lior with Westlake and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
Saturday’s features include Vika & Linda and Midnight Oil.
Sunday’s powerhouses will be recent ARIA-winner Sampa The Great and Tash Sultana, whilst fellow ARIA-winners The Teskey Brothers will close the event on Monday, along with Midnight Oil & First Nations Collaborators: ‘Makarrata Live’.
