A HUGE new summer festival series is launching in South Australia this month, headlined by the likes of Ruel, Lime Cordiale, The Veronicas, Human Nature and Spiderbait.
The Covid-safe Summer Sounds events will run from December 30 until January 30 at Adelaide’s Bonython Park and will feature 20 incredible live music events from dance, rock, pop and Motown over the month.
Each event will have ‘party pods’ for friends and families to enjoy the music together. Each pod will include an esky of pre-ordered drinks and snacks for four to six people, but more will be available for purchase via the Summer Sounds app.
This ground-breaking festival may be the way of the future as promoters look at ways of reducing the spread of viruses like Covid-19. There’s no limitations within the pod on sitting, standing, dancing, planking – whatever you want to do!
Some pods will be roped-off areas on grass and others will be on raised platforms. The entire series will be open-air outdoor events that organisers say will go ahead rain, hail or shine, so be prepared for any weather.
Tickets for the Summer Sounds Festival series go on sale Friday 4th December 10am ACDT from the website. Check below for the full list of dates and artists.
