Melbourne rockers Sydonia have decided to call it a day.
The band posted the following statement on their Facebook page today:
Today we are here to sadly announce that Sydonia is from today, no more. It has not been an easy decision to make amongst ourselves, Sydonia has been a huge part of our lives – especially those of us who have been in the band from the very start.
We’d like to personally thank everybody for their unending support over the years, to all the bands we’ve toured with (and there has been a ton), Tim Price and Pricewar Music, and ESPECIALLY our families. We’d also like to thank our past members Sam Haycroft and Eric Simon for their contribution to our story.
We will all continue to play music via our other bands and projects, so we’re sure that we will catch up with some of you in the future.
So long and thanks for all the beers.
The band enjoyed two decades of success, releasing five EPs, two full-length albums, three DVDs, supporting the likes of Trivium, Stone Sour, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Machine Head and Korn and multiple tours in Australia and overseas.
No reason has yet been given for the split.
