This year marks a quarter of a century since sister-led folk band The Waifs began their musical journey.
To celebrate, the band will embark on an extensive Australian tour in March, and will release their new 14-track studio album, Ironbark, featuring 11 bonus tracks to round out 25 songs for 25 years.
From today, the band will be giving away a free download of the bonus songs every week until the official launch on 3rd March.
The band is also calling for fan stories to share on this tour – if The Waifs have played a significant role in your life, if their music is now part of your story, you are invited to share your story with them via email (email@example.com) and Facebook. They will share some fan stories on the road as part of the celebration.
The first downloadable bonus song is available now here.
