It’s not every day a Hollywood heavyweight like Thor rolls into Brisbane city, but when he does…
The production for Thor: Ragnarok will move from the Gold Coast to Brisbane this week, with Asgard Productions warning residents and businesses of potential delays and disruptions during filming.
“Deliveries, local traffic, businesses, hotel guests and pedestrians will still have access to businesses,” a letter from the company warned, outlining road closures all week and filming from Monday to Thursday on parts of Mary, Albert and Margaret Streets for Creature Report, the working title for the Marvel film.
It says the delays and closures are necessary for safety.
The listed road closures are:
- Mary Street: Three-lane closure, Albert to Edward – 4am Saturday to 4am Friday (Two-lane closure from August 15 to 20).
- Albert Street: Charlotte to Alice – 4pm Sunday to 11pm Monday. Charlotte to Mary – 11pm Monday to 11pm Thursday.
- Margaret Street: George to Edward – 4pm Sunday to 11pm Monday. (Pacific Motorway off-ramp to Margaret Street closed 3am to 11pm Monday).
