Wanna get involved with Groovin The Moo?
The touring regional Aussie festival is offering even more opportunities than previous years for everyone to get into the ‘commoonity’ spirit.
Of course, the annual Unearthed comp is happening as always, except this year they’re also on the search for an additional producer in Maitland and Bendigo to play the new party stage, The Plot. To be eligible to kick off the day on the Triple J stage on their own turf, all bands and producers need to do is have their best tracks uploaded to Triple J Unearthed by Sunday 22 March.
Graphic designers and semi-professional (or amateur) doodlers are also invited to enter the GTM Tee competition again this year. The major winner will score an Apple Macbook Pro Air 2, a GTM march pack, two tix to their local GTM and their design on an official GTM merch item. Two runners up will win two tix to their local GTM and a GTM march pack. The people’s choice designer (voted by you) will score an Apple iPad Mini 2 and two tix to their local GTM plus the GTM merch pack. Entries close at midnight Sunday 22 March – check out Facebook or the official GTM web site for more info and Ts & Cs.
Budding photographers are also given a chance to strut their stuff at GTM this year, with the first ever Shoot The Moo comp. Winners will score two tix to their local event, the opportunity to shoot Charli XCX from the pit and a meet and greet with the Brit artist, as well as some one-on-one time with GTM’s official tour photographer to get some tips and tricks. Entries open this Friday, 13 March, and close on 8 April. Visit the official Shoot The Moo web site for more info.
Along with art installations across all GTM sites this year, the fest is also teaming up with Heaps Decent to run a workshop backstage for up and coming local lyricists, beat makers and producers in Oakbank, Bunbury and Townsville. Entries are open now and close on 8 April. Visit the official GTM web site for more info.
