North Queensland’s own rock-jazz-roots-fusion band Crossroads has jumped on the crowd-funding bandwagon in an attempt to make their debut full-length studio album ‘pozible’.
The foursome has, in just a few years, amassed a loyal following across NQ, performing at festivals including Palm Creek Folk Festival, Cultural Fest and Mission Beach Evolve in support of their hastily-released three track EP.
Having spent many hours in the recording studio, the band is now seeking funds to release a full-length album and tour in support of it. Already successful, the campaign has proven the solidarity of North Queensland music fans and this up-and-coming band.
Five days remain on Crossroads’ campaign. To find out more, or to donate, visit the Crossroads fundraising page on Pozible.
Stay tuned to Girl at a Rock Show for a final tally of the funds raised, and an interview with lead singer Ilona Bienkiewicz.
