As Paul Kelly once sang, from little things big things grow, and the Surf ‘n’ Ink Tattoo Festival is no exception.
The annual event, which began on the Gold Coast in 2010, has become so popular organisers have decided to take the convention on tour, adding events in Brisbane and Townsville later this month.
This is more than just a tattoo convention. Sure, if you want to know about tattoos, get a tattoo or get the low-down on the latest international tattoo trends, this is the place to do it. But the family-friendly festival promises tattoo contests, freak shows, music, dance, art, MMA, market stalls and more, including Miss Surf ‘n’ Ink.
Surf ‘n’ Ink will be held at The Venue Townsville from 20-22 September, RNA Showgrounds Brisbane from 27-29 September and at the Gold Coast Convention and Entertainment Centre 10-12 January 2014.
Adult tickets for Townsville and Brisbane are available online now from $20.
