We asked ‘rambunctious rock n rollers The VANNS to take Girl at a Rock Show on the road with them for their most recent mini tour.
We kicked off this little tour at our home town festival Yours & Owls. We were a little worried about clashing with Angus & Julia Stone, but it was great to see so many old friends and fans coming over to the tent to see us play for the first time in about four months. It was also the first tome playing a lot of new songs live so the set felt great. It was definitely a special one.
After a couple of great shows in Brisbane and Byron, we made it back down to Sydney to play The Lansdowne. It’s the first time we’ve played at the iconic venue and it was definitely a whole bunch of fun. It was also our biggest Sydney headline to date and doing that with half a set of new material was awesome. We can’t wait to put out all the new songs for everyone to hear!
The last weekend of tour was in Adelaide, and finishing off in Melbourne. We ended up missing a turn and going the wrong way for about an hour on the way to Melbourne, but we still made it and had an absolute belter of a time playing to new and old fans. Playing to a full room at Northcote Social Club was definitely a highlight of the tour and we can’t wait to get back on the road again with the new stuff released!
