ARIA Awards 2017 Biggest, Pointiest Yet

This year’s ARIA Awards is shaping up to be the biggest, pointiest year to date.

A whole host of events have been curated around the main event on Tuesday 28th November, including a Vance Joy gig, a producers and engineers BBQ, a panel about music and creative vision, SummerSalt gigs featuring Xavier Rudd & The Cat Empire, a showcase of up and coming artists, a [V] Island Party and an industry masterclass.

ARIA also announced this week that the legacy of renowned Australian music journalist and musician Iain Shedden will permanently be honoured by the renaming of the ARIA Awards media suite. The room will formally be known as ‘The Iain Shedden ARIA Media Suite’ and will be a standing tribute to Shedden, who covered numerous ARIA Awards throughout his distinguished career.

And today, international pop sensation Harry Styles was announced as one of the live performers for the awards, which will be held at The Star Event Centre in Sydney on Tuesday 28th November, televised across Australia on the Nine network.
