Police investigating the death of 25-year old Sydney pharmacist Sylvia Choi at Stereosonic last weekend have charged a man with drug supply.
As Fairfax reports, Daniel Dung Huynh, 25, was arrested this morning and charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug.
Choi reportedly took “at least one ecstasy” pill and drank MDMA dissolved in a water bottle before falling ill just after 5pm Saturday.
She was pronounced dead at Concord Hospital later that evening.
Ten other festival goers were treated in hospital for suspected drug overdoses, including a 22-year old British tourist who was placed in an induced coma.
She was released from hospital Sunday night.
Altogether, 120 people were treated for the effects of drugs at the festival, while 69 people were charged with drug offences, including Huynh.
He was refused bail in Burwood Local Court this afternoon.
