River Sessions is as native to Mackay as sugar cane. Now in it’s sixth year, the home grown festival is back on 28 June with a few minor changes set to improve the experience, including:
- A local stage to give more North Queensland bands an opportunity for exposure
- A dance stage set to run all day
- Market stalls and art workshops
- A cheaper ticket price (now only $75 + booking fee presale and $85 at the gate).
The first lineup announcement includes: The Amity Affliction, Rufus, Art vs. Science, Horrorshow, Dan Sultan, Sticky Fingers, Papa vs. Pretty, Allday, Sweater Beats (NYC), Hayden James, In Hearts Wake, Safia, Dexter, Tigerlily, JDG, Stevie Minks, Reecey Boi, Saints Alight, King, Weathered, Naylo, Jordan James, Scowny XEdge and C3G. More are yet to be announced.
